Hello again to both our readers, remember your feedback is always welcomed, by someone. The sharp eyed between you will have noticed there was no June blog post. I did start it, but it was more of a ‘bloglet’, so I thought I would combine it with July. Here goes…
Wellies were the footwear of choice for much of the month given that Dubrovnik is shaped like a giant U, with both sides of town rising fairly steeply from the main street, the Stradun. When it rains, all of the water runs down the stairs to the main street, which then fills up before, emptying into the harbour.
So after all the fire and brimstone of March, April arrived with a splash, quite a big one actually and it lasted for about a week. The swell coming from the south was impressively large and turned the otherwise calm setting of the Kings Landing (from the Game of Thrones) into a bubbling mass of white foam.
