Brac is the 3rd largest of the Adriatic islands and the closest one to Split. Bol is situated on its southern shore and is the oldest settlement on the island.  It boasts a fantastic weather record with long summer days cooled by a westerly mistral. Spread out along the coast it is backed by Vidova Gora at just under 800m it’s the highest point in the Adriatic. This stunning backdrop and a variety of beaches combine to give Bol a very laid back atmosphere.

The town is centered on a small harbor from where the flotilla of small fishing boats lands the daily catch. It’s also where the catamaran docks daily from Split and where the taxi boats run to the famous Zlatni Rat beach.  Around the harbor are a variety of restaurants and bars.

Kitesurfing
If you have ever fancied trying it, Yellow Cat Kite surf offer some great beginner courses from 3-5 days. Their instructors are first class and there is no beach starting. They take you a safe distance from the shore in the "yellow cat", hook you in and let you put into practice the theory lessons, before collecting you down wind!
