The Beach House | Bol, Croatia
The Beach House in Bol is situated above the famous Zlatni Rat beach on the island of Brac, Croatia. Set amongst the olive and pine trees, it offers a peaceful retreat away from the crowds, with amazing views of the Adriatic and Hvar Island.
The Beach House is the perfect place for a larger family or group to enjoy a holiday. Sleeping 8 people comfortably in four air conditioned, en-suite bedrooms, there is a large living-kitchen area and reading gallery, leading to a covered south facing terrace, an ideal place to watch the world go by on the sea below. To the rear of the property is a swimming pool (8m x 5m) and pool house, which contains a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ and covered dinning area.
We have a concierge service on hand in Bol to look after you during your stay, whether its just to help with the transfer, or to arrange a sailing trip or perhaps an in house chef for the evening. However, should you wish to drag yourself away from the house, then it’s a short stroll to the beach where you can catch a taxi boat or land train into town.

The lower floor has four en-suite bedrooms with air conditioning. Three of the rooms have super king size beds, whilst the fourth or children’s room, has two double beds. All rooms have a hotel quality safe that will store a large laptop and other equipment.
There is also a laundry room on the lower floor which is available for guests to use, containing washing / drying machines and ironing facilities.
The living area of the Beach House is open plan, with a fully fitted and well equipped kitchen, including range oven, fridge freezer and all cooking utensils.
The large living area contains comfortable seating, TV and iPod docks, plus under floor heating and a wood burning stove for the winter months. The doors from the living area open onto the large covered terrace where you can relax or dine. There is also a small bathroom, with a free standing bath on this level. There is wi-fi throughout the Beach House and the pool area.

Brac is the 3rd largest of the Adriatic islands and the closest one to Split. Bol is situated on its southern shore and is the oldest settlement on the island. It boasts a fantastic weather record with long summer days cooled by a westerly mistral. Spread out along the coast it is backed by Vidova Gora at just under 800m it’s the highest point in the Adriatic. This stunning backdrop and a variety of beaches combine to give Bol a very laid back atmosphere.
The town is centered on a small harbor from where the flotilla of small fishing boats lands the daily catch. It’s also where the catamaran docks daily from Split and where the taxi boats run to the famous Zlatni Rat beach. Around the harbor are a variety of restaurants and bars.
There are a number of beaches in Bol, the most famous of them is Zlatni Rat – (or Golden Horn) it’s a long spit of small pebbles that extends into the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic.
There are a couple of bars and restaurants located on or close to the beach, try Mali Rai for some excellent seafood and local wine.
Bol is an excellent windsurf location , with the summers prevailing wind a westerly mistral, that blows from 1pm most days, from early June, through to September. The main windsurf center is located at Borak Beach, with Big Blue and Zoo Station. Both rent equipment by the hour, day or week.
Visit the harbor in town one evening and you will see the various day trips on offer or we can also arrange bespoke events and day sails though Sunburst Sailing who are based in Split & Milna.
If you have ever fancied trying it, Yellow Cat Kite surf offer some great beginner courses from 3-5 days. Their instructors are first class and there is no beach starting. They take you a safe distance from the shore in the "yellow cat", hook you in and let you put into practice the theory lessons, before collecting you down wind!
There are a variety of day trips available, to Hvar town, Jelsa or Markaska from the harbour in Bol. Or, why not catch the Jadrolinija catamaran from Bol to either Dubrovnik or Split for the day.

Tennis & Biking
The Bol tennis center is a truly impressive set up, with 26 clay courts and an onsite PCT Tennis coach and a selection of courses, it will suit everyone from beginners to aspiring pros.
Bol is also an excellent location for all levels of mountain-biking or road cycling. Big Blue run a variety of daily excursions or you can rent a bike and explore on your own.

However, most guests will take the ferry from Split harbour to Brac. The ferry runs throughout the day and docks at Supetar on the North side of the island. From there it’s a 40 mins taxi ride or 60 mins bus ride to Bol.
From Split harbour, there is also a fast catamaran daily at 4pm which takes an hour and docks directly in Bol harbor.
It’s also possible to take a private speed boat directly from Split Airport (as its right by the seafront) to Bol or we can arrange for a taxi to collect you from he airport and bring you all the way to the Beach House.
